Garbrandt (11-2, 6-2 UFC) has dropped two straight bouts, both to current champion T.J. Dillashaw. The last bout came in August, where he was stopped late in the first round.
Munhoz (17-3, 1 NC, 7-2, 1 NC UFC) has won two in a row since a split decision loss to John Dodson in March. His most recent win came via TKO over Bryan Caraway in November.
Garbrandt is currently ranked as the number one contender at 135 pounds in the official UFC rankings, while Munhoz sits at nine.
UFC 235 goes down on March 2nd in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It will be co-headlined by two titles fights announced in the last 24 hours – Jon Jones vs. Anthony Smith for the UFC light heavyweight title, and Tyron Woodley vs. Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight title.
