The UFC apparently has a main event for their first-ever show in Denmark.
The UFC’s first show in Copenhagen on September 28th now has a headliner, but it’s a little bit of a puzzling one. Fresh off the biggest win over his career over perennial contender Jacare Souza, Jack Hermansson will take part in another main event fight – against Jared Cannonier.
MMA agent Malki Kawa tweeted about the news, which was confirmed by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto:
Sources say this will serve as the main event. Sept. 28, ESPN+ card. https://t.co/bVc9DOevWH

Hermansson (20-4, 7-2 UFC) has won four fights in a row, with the last coming over the aforementioned Souza. His last loss came to to current light heavyweight title challenger Thiago Santos in late 2017.
Cannonier (12-4, 5-4 UFC) is 2-0 at middleweight in the UFC. He picked up an injury TKO win over the legendary Anderson Silva in his last fight, when Silva’s knee buckled off a leg kick late in the first round. He also holds a 185-pound victory over former WSOF champ David Branch.
UFC Copenhagen, or UFC on ESPN+ 18, goes down on September 28th in the Royal Arena. The only other fight tied to the card so far is a welterweight bout between Gunnar Nelson and Thiago Alves.
