The latest addition to the UFC’s May Day card is a light heavyweight fight between Ion Cutelaba and Devin Clark.
A light heavyweight fight between Ion Cutelaba and Devin Clark is being targeted for an upcoming UFC event on May 1.
MMA DNA first reported the news, though the UFC is yet to confirm the fight. The UFC event on May 1 is without a location or venue to its name yet.
Cutelaba (15-6, 1NC) fought twice last year, losing both his fights to Magomed Ankalev. The first fight controversially stopped, but there were no complaints in the rematch at UFC 254 as Ankalaev won by first-round KO. The Moldovan’s last UFC win came against Khalil Rountree in September 2019.
Clark (12-5) is coming off a submission loss to former title challenger Anthony Smith last November. “Brown Bear” won consecutive decisions against Alonzo Menifield and Dequan Townsend before his recent loss.
After being cancelled this month, a rescheduled light heavyweight fight between Dominick Reyes vs. Jiri Prochazka is expected to headline the May 1 event.
