It appears that both Mariusz Pudzianowski and Mamed Khalidov could share the spotlight in headlining roles at KSW 35 in May.

Following an impressive streak of shows last year that culminated in a KO victory for Mamed Khalidov to become the middleweight champion, KSW appears to have decided on the date for his first title defense.

According to KSW co-founder Maciej Kawulski, Khalidov will likely headline the KSW 35 show in May. Five-time World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski will also be featured on the card, as will former middleweight champ Michal Materla.

At the moment, we are planning three main events and I wonder if I am not exaggerating,” Kawulski told “Puncher” (h/t MMARocks.pl). “We’ll have Mamed Khalidov, Mariusz Pudzianowski, and a high probability that we’ll also have Michael Materla. Everyone in excellent clashes. I can not reveal who’s with who, but I can say that each of these fights will be interesting.”

Materla, who lost his title to Khalidov by KO will likely face former UFC and Bellator fighter Kendall Grove.

“It is no secret that Michael Materla is trying to fight Grove, whom he has already fought in 2014 and could lead to it again. We know what is being said in the context of Mamed Khalidov, but let’s leave that as a mystery for some time.”

KSW 35 will take place in May at the Ergo Arena.
