Kevin Lee will return to welterweight when he faces Sean Brady at UFC 264
After over a year away from the octagon, Kevin Lee will fight Sean Brady in a welterweight bout at UFC 264 on July 10th.
ESPN first reported the news, but the UFC is yet to officially announce the fight. The fight will mark Lee’s first since being defeated by recently crowned lightweight champion Charles Oliveira in March of last year.
Once a top contender at 155-pounds, Lee (18-6) has lost three of his last four UFC appearances. Following his loss to Oliveira, Lee said he may not fight again for a few years. His last stint at welterweight lasted just one fight when Lee was defeated by Rafael Dos Anjos in May 2019.
The undefeated Brady (14-0) was signed to the UFC in 2019 and has since won four fights in the promotion. Brady, who currently sits at #13 in the welterweight rankings, has picked up finishes against Jake Matthews and Christian Aguilera in his last two fights.
UFC 264 will be headlined by a lightweight trilogy between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor.
