Welterweights Li Jingliang and Neil Magny will reportedly square off in Las Vegas.
A battle of welterweight scrappers was reportedly added to the upcoming UFC 248 card, in March 2020. Per Combate’s Raphael Marinho’s report, the seasoned Neil Magny and hard-hitting Li Jingliang have verbally agreed to face each other at the pay-per-view event in Las Vegas.

Away from the Octagon since a November 2018 knockout loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio, Neil Magny (21-7) was on a two-fight winning streak before the defeat. That streak included a knockout win over Craig White and a unanimous decision victory over former interim champion Carlos Condit.
Magny was expected to fight Vicente Luque earlier this year, but that bout was scrapped after Magny reportedly tested positive for Di-Hydroxy-LGD-4033, an anabolic agent.
Against Magny, Li (17-5) will look for his fourth straight win. So far, the ‘Leech’ has already defeated Daichi Abe, David Zawada and, most recently, Elizeu Zaleski. Two of those wins came by way of TKO. The 31-year-old’s last loss happened in February 2018, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Jake Matthews.
Now, Magny is reportedly scheduled to take on Li at UFC 248, in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 7th. The card is expected to be headlined by a female strawweight title fight between the champion, Weili Zhang, and former title holder Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
