Bellator fighter Dillon Danis leaked a direct message from fifth-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Viktor Doria claiming that Paul vs. Silva was in the works for a Sept. 19 event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Danis was asked if he had an interest in competing in a grappling match under ADCC rules.
“So funny they talk s—t but follow and DM me,” Danis captioned a screenshot of Doria’s message on the fighter’s Instagram Story. “Such losers.”
Paul, 26, is winless in his professional boxing career, losing a split decision to fellow YouTuber KSI — Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji — on Nov. 9, 2019. Silva, 46, had not competed as a boxer since 2005 prior to beating Chavez Jr. via split decision on June 19.
Paul’s younger brother Jake Paul (3-0, boxing) is scheduled to fight former UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley (19-7-1, MMA) at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, on Sun., Aug. 29, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, streaming online via Showtime pay-per-view (PPV),
