Another fight has been added to the UFC’s card in Vegas on August 1st.
After their exciting first encounter back in 2017 that ended in a draw, Lando Vannata and Bobby Green will run it back at UFC Vegas on August 1st.
Vannata announced the matchup as official for next weekend on his Instagram account, with Green confirming the news. The UFC veteran Green also revealed along with the matchup he has signed a new deal with the promotion.
Green (25-10-1) got back in the win column in June with a unanimous decision win over Clay Guida. “King” lost consecutive decisions to Francisco Trinaldo and Drakkar Klose before his recent win.
Vannata (11-4-2) last fought at UFC Rio Rancho in February, winning a decision against Yancy Medeiros. JacksonWink’s Vannata holds one of the more unusual records in the UFC, picking up two draws, two losses and two wins in his last six fights.
UFC Vegas takes place next Saturday, August 1st, at the promotion’s APEX facility. With the original main event between Holly Holm and Irene Aldana scrapped, a middleweight fight between Derek Brunson and Edmen Shahbazyan will headline the card.
