UFC middleweight Vitor Belfort has reportedly accepted a fight with Kelvin Gastelum in the Brazilian city of Fortaleza, on March 11.

Kelvin Gastelum is quickly climbing the middleweight ladder. After his performance last Saturday at UFC 206, Combate reported he is now slated to take on former middleweight title challenger and light heavyweight champion, Vitor Belfort, in an event scheduled for March 11, in Fortaleza, Brazil.

At 39, Belfort (25-13) will try to end a two-fight losing skid with a couple of TKO losses to Gegard Mousasi and Ronaldo Souza. His latest win dates back to November 2015, when he knocked out Dan Henderson for the second time, with a head kick. Despite reports that he would retire following his loss to Mousasi, Belfort said in October that he wanted to continue his career.

Forced to move up to the middleweight division after another failed attempts to cut down to 170 pounds, Gastelum (13-2) has found success in that division, with wins over the likes of Uriah Hall (which won him the TUF 17 middleweight tournament), Nate Marquardt, and most recently. Gastelum’s last loss was a split decision he dropped to Neil Magny, in November 2015.

Combate has not reported any other bouts for the UFC Fortaleza card as of yet, and did not clarify if Vitor Belfort vs. Kelvin Gastelum would be the main event of the night.
