Welterweight striker Elizeu Zaleski is reportedly scheduled to meet Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 254 on October 24.
It seems Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos will once again perform on the UFC’s Fight Island. Following a July 11 outing that did not go his away against Muslim Salikhov, ‘Capoeira’ is now set to welcome M-1 Challenge veteran Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 254, Ag Fight reports.
In his last outing, Zaleski (22-7) dropped a narrow split decision to Muslim Salikhov, which most pundits awarded to the Brazilian. Before that, the 33-year-old scored a unanimous decision victory over Alexey Kunchenko, back in March.
Undefeated prospect Rakhmonov (12-0) arrives at the UFC with an impressive record. Not only has the 25-year-old never been defeated in his professional career, but also never went the distance in his 12 outings, scoring seven knockouts and five submission wins.
Now, Zaleski is expected to take on Rakhmonov at UFC 254, on October 24, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The card is scheduled to be headlined by a lightweight title unification bout between the champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and interim title-holder Justin Gaethje.
