Former Bellator title contender Rick Hawn is headed to Titan FC.

According to Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson, Hawn has signed a four-fight deal with the promotion and is scheduled to make his debut at Titan 32 on Dec. 19 in Lowell, Mass. His opponent has yet to be signed.

“Rick is one of the premier fighters available anywhere,” Aronson said. “Titan views this as a massive signing. What a way to finish out 2014.”

Hawn (18-4) was recently released by Bellator after losing two fights in a row. A member of the 2004 U.S Olympic judo team, Hawn won Bellator’s season six lightweight tournament and its season nine welterweight tournament, however, he failed to win the belt in both title fights. In Bellator, he defeated the likes of Jim Wallhead, Lyman Good and Karo Parisyan, among others.

Titan 32, headlined by Dave Herman vs. Jon Madsen for the Titan FC heavyweight title, will take place at the Tsonga Center, which is just minutes from where the 38-year-old Hawn currently lives. The main card will air live on CBS Sports Network.
