Matt Riddle, who rose to (cough) “fame” for the murder of Dan Simmler on Season 7 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), has done an admirable job of pissing off just about everyone he meets, because as Eric Bischoff once said, controversy creates cash.
And Riddle is getting paaaaiiiiiid.
Riddle, 34, has long since departed Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he frequently locked horns with promotion president, Dana White, and recently set up shop with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Home to another UFC veteran in the form of Brock Lesnar.
Turns out Riddle and Lesnar had a “tense” confrontation backstage at last weekend’s Royal Rumble in Houston, Texas, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, because Riddle previously claimed he would “retire” Lesnar in 2020.
No hands were exchanged … yet.
This isn’t the first time Riddle has ruffled a few backstage feathers. The “Super King of Bros” already ticked off retired mat rat and part-time MMA mouthpiece, Bill Goldberg, for these comments about steroids and concussions.
Maybe for the next WWE pay-per-view (PPV), Riddle can cross paths with Ronda Rousey.
