It didn’t take long for Freddie Roach to respond to Conor McGregor’s revelation about a potential Manny Pacquiao fight.
As of Friday, the Conor McGregor-Manny Pacquiao boxing match talks are back on. After revealing some February DMs with UFC president Dana White that led nowhere, “The Notorious” is now saying he’s fighting “Pacman” in the Middle East, next.
It didn’t take long for Pacquiao’s famed trainer Freddie Roach to find out about these recent developments. And since Manny isn’t known to be a big talker, his coach is doing it for him, instead.
If this is true, @MannyPacquiao will have an easier time with you @TheNotoriousMMA than when he fought @HitmanHatton https://t.co/6lnRGiggcv

Pacquiao fought Ricky Hatton for the 140-pound world title in 2009. It ended via knockout in round two with a left hook heard around the world. Safe to say, “The Hitman” wasn’t the same fighter since then.
As for McGregor, he’s apparently back training inside a squared ring these days, with the full support of his long-time trainer John Kavanagh.

Sen. Pacquiao last saw action in July 2019, when he defeated 31-year-old Keith Thurman at 40 years of age. He is currently the WBA welterweight champion.
