Luke Rockhold throws some shade at Chris Weidman, who broke his shin in half at UFC 261.

One of the most unfortunate injuries befell Chris Weidman at UFC 261. The former middleweight champion suffered the same broken leg he dealt Anderson Silva eight years before.

Weidman did get his fair share of encouraging messages and well-wishes from fans and fellow fighters. Former rival Luke Rockhold, however, took a different direction.

When asked for some words of encouragement by The Schmo, here’s what the ex-185 pound champ and Ralph Lauren model had to say.

“I wish him all the best. That’s a tough one. I don’t know what it’s like to have those little feminine shins, I don’t know. Because I broke mine, first kick of the fight, but somehow didn’t break. Just that strong.”

I’m not really sure which fight Rockhold was referring to, but he did suffer a leg injury during training in 2018 that forced him to pull out from his scheduled UFC 230 rematch with Weidman.

Rockhold also had these words for light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.

“He’s got a good punch, let’s say that. I think he’s beatable, very beatable. But he’s got some pop.”

The 36-year-old hasn’t seen action since Blachowicz knocked him out and broke his jaw in their UFC 239 bout in 2019.
