Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) color commentator, Joe Rogan, downplayed Conor McGregor’s pub attack earlier this year in Dublin, Ireland, suggesting “Notorious” barely laid a hand on the balky bar patron who refused a sample of the Irishman’s Proper No. 12 whiskey.

But upon further review, Rogan admits that McGregor did, in fact, drive one into the hapless drinker, an incident that is expected to bring charges once the local authorities get done processing the evidence (watch the video again here).

“Wild men do wild shit. Not good to smack that guy at the bar though,” Rogan said (transcribed by BJPenn.com). “I watched that again. I thought it was a touch, last time I talked about it but it looked almost like a punch. I mean, he hit him. I misspoke. I basically just thought he touched him in the face because I watched it on my phone and it wasn’t that clear. Then I watched it on a computer and was like ‘oh’.”

McGregor, who remains unbooked at the time of this writing, was forced to apologize for his actions in a lengthy interview released late last week; however, not everyone believes we’ve seen the last of his “Notorious” drama.

What happened overseas is just one of many public outbursts that have resulted in legal action (sample) and like Jon Jones before him, it’s starting to feel like it’s only a matter of time before McGregor finds himself in even more trouble.
