Roger Gracie returns after one year and a half away from the sport to meet undefeated Michael Pasternak in Singapore.
Ten-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, Roger Gracie returns to MMA after one and a half year competing solely in grappling tournaments. As he posted on his Instagram, the Strikeforce and UFC veteran will once again compete at ONE FC, on May 6. Gracie (7-2) will meet the undefeated Michael Pasternak (11-0) in Singapore, in a middleweight bout.
In July 2014, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt had a single UFC bout at UFC 162, when Tim Kennedy defeated him by unanimous decision. He bounced back from the loss in his ONE FC debut when he scored the first and only TKO victory of his career over James McSweeney.
One Championship 41 “Ascend to Power” features a couple of title fights as middleweight champion Vitaly Bigdash (8-0) will look to make his first title defense against Aleksei Butorin (10-0) in a clash of undefeated fighters. Plus, in the co-main event of the evening, Angela Lee (5-0) meets Mei Yamaguchi (15-8-1) for the inaugural strawweight belt.
