Strikeforce fighter, and ADCC champion, Roger Gracie (4-1) has decided to test the waters of the middleweight division, making the move down from light heavyweight.

Gracie also signed with Team Black House, with the news being announced by his new manager Ed Soares who made the announcement on Thursday to MMAFighting.com.

The ADCC champion makes the move down into the middleweight division after three bouts at light heavyweight for Strikeforce. At 205-lbs, Gracie earned submission wins over Kevin Randleman and Trevor Prangley, while losing his last fight this past September to Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal.

In his new division, which is slightly more robust than the light heavyweight division, Gracie joins fighters such as division champ Luke Rockhold, Tim Kennedy, Robbie Lawler, Lumumba Sayers and Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza.
