Davi Belfort, class of 2025, is already receiving serious interest from major college football coaches.

Former UFC champion Vitor Belfort often lauds his son, Davi Belfort, as a future football superstar. And Alabama Crimson Tide coach, Nick Saban, seems to agree.

Davi, graduating class of 2025, hasn’t even played a single game yet as a quarterback at Cardinal Newman High school in West Palm Beach, Florida. Despite that fact, he is already getting offers from colleges, including the most prestigious program in the nation, University of Alabama.

“It was definitely a surreal moment,” Davi told the South Florida Sun Sentinel of the offer. “It was an honor talking to one of the greatest coaches in the history of college football. It was such an honor. It was amazing.”

Davi caught Saban’s eye after attending a camp in Tuscaloosa on Monday and speaking to the Crimson Tide coach afterward.

“They saw me throw in the morning part [of the camp] and then after the morning part was when they decided to offer me,” the young athlete explained. “He called me in his office and we had a great conversation. He said he normally doesn’t offer kids that early. He’s really excited to see me grow and develop on the high-school stage. He said he’s definitely going to be watching me.

“[The offer] definitely doesn’t put any pressure on me…. Some people think it does, but I don’t see any pressure to it,” he added. “I’m just really happy. If anything, it takes pressure off of me. I’m not worried about if it takes pressure off of me or not. I’m just worried about my fall season. I can’t wait to keep on getting better. As soon as I get home, I’m going to get back to what got me to this point, and I still have a lot to improve in my game.”

Davi has also received interest from Arizona State University and Florida Atlantic University.

Vitor Belfort is currently preparing for his sophomore professional boxing match, his first in 15 years, against “The Real Tarzann” Mike Holston on the undercard of Triller’s Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos Jr. card on June 19, 2021. Belfort (26-14, MMA) is a former UFC Light Heavyweight champion with wins over Randy Couture, Wanderlei Silva, Rich Franklin, Anthony Johnson, Michael Bisping, Luke Rockhold, Dan Henderson (twice) and Nate Marquardt.
