Now that former UFC middleweight contender Yoel Romero has signed with Bellator MMA, both fans and pundits have been not-so-hard at work pairing up “Soldier of God” for his 2021 debut, which could include Ryan Bader and Phil Davis, just to name a few.

But perhaps no matchup is more intriguing — or more destructive — than a potential light heavyweight showdown between Romero and fellow UFC export Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, who inked with Scott Coker and Co. earlier this month.

The sports books have wasted little time in pushing out lines for that unofficial fantasy fight, where Romero opened as the -175 favorite. Johnson came in as the +150 underdog but money is already flowing in, recently closing that gap to -155 against +135.

That’s according to the number crunchers over at BetOnline and don’t be surprised to see that line move drastically if and when the promotion makes it official. Chances are both combatants will get a tune-up fight so as not to waste a great name right out of the gate.

Time will tell.
