Michael Bisping seems like he’s done taking on top contenders and is looking for a final big payday against one of the slightly less deadly names in the UFC middleweight division. But that didn’t stop middleweight contender Yoel Romero from calling “The Count” out on Fox Sports 1’s UFC 223 post fight show.
“Mike! You continue training,” Romero said. “Please! Please continue training because I want to see you soon. I want to see you soon. You know I love you.”

Romero and Bisping played a cat and mouse game through 2016 and 2017, with Romero getting within inches of facing the then-middleweight champ before injuries to Bisping nixed those plans. Bisping repeatedly knocked Romero for failing a drug test while Romero went so far as to start a joke GoFundMe to pay for Bisping’s surgery so he could get better and fight.
Alas, we’re very doubtful that we’ll ever get to see a battle between Yoel and Michael. Yoel is on to bigger and better things, and is set to face current champ Robert Whittaker at UFC 225 in Chicago. Bisping seems to have one fight left in him if we’re lucky, and he’s being very particular about who he faces. But hey, at least the feud outside the cage has been entertaining.
