Ronda Rousey teams up with sister to write book

Publisher Regan Arts announced on Tuesday that they had acquired Ronda Rousey’s upcoming book, entitled “My Fight/Your Fight.”

Written with Rousey’s sister and sports journalist Maria Burns Ortiz, the book is set to publish in May 2015. It will chronicle Rousey’s inspiring journey from childhood to Olympic bronze to UFC gold.

“Everyone has their own fight,” Rousey stated in a press release. “Through my journey to become the greatest fighter in the cage, I learned the concepts to conquer every battle outside of it. Hopefully readers can learn the same lessons I did — without having to take as many punches in the face.”

Next year is shaping up to be another big one for Rousey. Not only is she set to defend her UFC women’s bantamweight title against Cat Zingano on Feb. 28 in Los Angeles, but she is also the lead female star in the upcoming Entourage movie, which comes out in June, as well as a part of Furious 7, set to be released in April.

“Ronda Rousey has been victorious in life because he has heart, strength, discipline, and a sense of conviction,” Regan Arts CEO Judith Regan stated. “She’s a true winner.”
