Two “Ultimate Fighter Brazil” champions will return to the Octagon in March.
Rony Jason, who defeated Godofredo Pepey back in 2012 to win the first season of TUF: Brazil, joins fellow TUF: Brazil champion Cezar Ferreira at the yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event in Natal, Brazil, on March 23, as he takes on TUF 14 alum Steven Siler. Siler announced the fight on Monday.
Jason (13-4) finished Sam Sicilia and Mike Wilkinson after winning the first season of TUF: Brazil, but he failed to extend his winning streak to nine after suffering a 40-second knockout loss to Jeremy Stephens last November in Goiania, Brazil.
Siler (23-11) also looks to return to the win column following a decision loss to Dennis Bermudez at UFC Fight for the Troops 3 last November. Prior to the loss, “Super” Siler was 5-1 inside the Octagon with notable wins over Mike Brown and Cole Miller.
The list of fights for the unannounced UFC card in Natal, with Dan Henderson vs. “Shogun” Rua in the main event, now includes:
Mauricio Rua vs. Dan Henderson
Cezar Ferreira vs. C.B. Dollaway
Jussier Formiga vs. Scott Jorgensen
Rony Jason vs. Steven Siler
Fabio Maldonado vs. Gian Villante
Ronny Markes vs. Thiago Santos
