Dmitry ‘Anubis’ Kuznetsov claims to have been attacked by five men after releasing the track.

Just weeks after releasing a rap diss track called “Hypocrisy King,” which targeted UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Russian MMA fighter Dmitry Kuznetsov claims he was assaulted in an apparent revenge plot.

As reported by RT Sports, the alleged assault took place a few weeks after Kuznetsov released a rap diss track and video that seemed to mock Khabib’s conservative lifestyle and religious stance. During the video, the fighter depicting Khabib turned down models who approached him by the pool by seemed to accept a sexual favour from one fo the men from his own entourage.

The video took aim at Khabib’s apparent misogyny, his conservative worldview, and some of the controversies he has been involved in, including paying a homeless man to do pushups. It even contained a bathtub scene, which is a reference to an old photo of Khabib and his teammates squeezed into a single bathtub.

The controversial video has caused quite the stir in the Russian MMA community, especially amongst Khabib’s fans. Kuznetsov revealed that he had to “move away from his family for their safety” after he was assaulted by a group of five men.

”Now everyone will try to beat me up and humiliate me? This time five people, how many there will be the next time?” Kuznetsov said on Instagram (h/t RT Sports). ”Why did you drag me along the concrete and tear my clothes? I don’t understand. Did they really want to rape me? I got some scratches and a hit in my head, so what? [You are] strange people.”

Kuzentsov holds a 10-6 professional record in MMA and has competed for several regional promotions across Russia, including Fight Nights Global.
