While everyone might assume Ryan Couture took up MMA because of his famous father, the son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture recently admitted the adrenaline rush of his first time in the ring was the biggest factor in fighting for a living.
“The first time I got in the ring as amateur,” Couture told MMAjunkie.com Radio this week, about when he really knew MMA was his calling.
“But I just didn’t know if I would have the stomach for actually getting in the ring and going to blows with someone. The first time I had that experience and that rush, I was hooked.”
