“Cowboy” says it is time for “Notorious” to put up or shut up.
Donald Cerrone is really beginning to doubt Conor McGregor’s return to mixed martial arts (MMA). “Cowboy” spoke with MMAmania.com and other media members on earlier this week as part of UFC Fight Night 158’s fight week promotion.
“Do you think he comes back, though?” Cerrone asked. “I mean, damn, it’s been a lot of talk and a lot of years. Who knows? It’s just not even worth it to me anymore. Like man, are you going to come back? Shit or get off the pot, bro.”
Meanwhile, Cerrone is coming off a brutal loss to Tony Ferguson (watch it) at UFC 238 several months ago. “Cowboy” said he would be upset if Ferguson gets passed over on a Lightweight title shot against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“Give the dude his dues,” Cerrone exclaimed. When informed about a potential Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor rematch instead, Cerrone chuckled, “That would be tough for Tony to swallow. Wow … he deserves it for sure.”
Cerrone fights Justin Gaethje in the main event of UFC Fight Night 158, which takes place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, tomorrow night. MMAmania.com will be on the ground for all your fight night coverage.
