Sara McMann is will…

After getting submitted by champion Ronda Rousey in just 14 seconds at UFC 184, Cat Zingano made it clear she wanted to step right back into the Octagon with another top contender in the UFC women’s bantamweight division.

Sara McMann is willing to oblige her.

MMAFighting.com‘s Ariel Helwani reported on Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight that McMann and her manager, Monte Cox, believe such a fight would make the most sense for both contenders at this point in their careers.

McMann (8-2), an Olympic silver medalist in wrestling, won her first seven career MMA fights before losing to Rousey in a UFC 170 title fight. McMann has had a pair of tight fights since then, winning a split decision over Lauren Murphy in August and dropping a majority decision to Miesha Tate at UFC 183.

Zingano, of course, is coming off the loss to Rousey, which was the Coloradan’s first defeat after winning her first nine career bouts.

No word yet on when and where such a match, should Zingano accept, would take place.
