Schaub is sharing his side of the story after Rousey’s new memoir paints him as an insecure jerk who played endless mind games with her.

Brendan Schaub is the latest individual in Ronda Rousey’s life to find themselves in the spotlight over comments in her ‘Our Fight: A Memoir’ book.

Rousey had no love for Schaub in the book, who she says played “f—ed up mind games” with her through their relationship circa 2010. He was the one who demanded they keep their relationship a secret because he was worried about being pegged as ‘Mr. Ronda Rousey’ … but that didn’t stop him from using her name to score points during beefs.

In a new episode of Fighter and the Kid, Schaub addressed Rousey’s comments and suggested their relationship wasn’t the cause of turmoil in Ronda’s life.

“To bring it up 14 years later? I mean she has kids and it obviously worked out,” he said. “It’s just life. We weren’t a match, so when she says mind games, no it’s not mind games. The mind games came from, in all honesty, her camp. That was the trouble she had, and that’s a whole other issue that she can address.”

Rousey’s new book does go in-depth on the dysfunctional relationship she had with Edmond Tarverdyan, who coached her through her MMA career. But we guess it’s too much to ask of Schaub that he read more than just the part about him.

“I have nothing to do with that,” he continued. “I didn’t train at her camp, I don’t know the coach, I have nothing to do with that.”

“I guess when she means mind games, that would mean it wasn’t a match,” he told his co-host Bryan Callen. “And you were around during that time, and you knew this. I’d be like, ‘Dude, I don’t know what to do. Love the girl as a friend, but when it came to that, she’s not my person.’ I found my person.”

Brendan also detailed the final moments of his relationship with Ronda.

“The last conversation, the last words I ever said to her, I just told her how I felt and it’s just not gonna work,” he said. “Clearly we’re both upset, and I said, ‘You will never talk to me again. I know you, and and we will never talk again.’ And we’ve never talked again.”

Rousey recently signed a deal to develop her two memoirs into a movie. Will Schaub make the cut? For some reason we have our doubts.
