Grab a bucket of popcorn … things just got heated.

Last week, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight-turned podcaster, Brendan Schaub, opened up about former interim Heavyweight champion (and long-time training partner) Shane Carwin’s alleged struggles with oncoming CTE.

Schaub got emotional in the video, pleading for UFC CEO, Dana White, to help Carwin some more. And because Schaub shed tears in the video, Nate Diaz branded him a “big ol p—sy” on Twitter. Well, earlier today (Mon., Oct. 21, 2024), Schaub spoke about the Tweet on his weekly podcast and went scorched Earth on Diaz.

Buckle up!

“He doesn’t have a lot going on,” Schaub said. “Didn’t get paid for the [Jorge] Masvidal fight. Probably doesn’t know what he’s going to do next…. Lost to Jake Paul — that’s a big blow to his ego. So, I guess he needs to do this to stay current. I retired 15 years ago, man. That being said, that’s social media — this isn’t real. Because here’s what’s real, I will f—k you up. I’m not asking for this. I don’t want to f—k him up. I’m not trying to f—k him up. End of the day, if he walked in right now, only one of us is going walk out unscathed, and it’s me every f—king day of the week, 365 days a year, I will snap his f—king neck.

“He’s had some great fights — he’s a tough dude,” Schaub added. “I’m 245 pounds, a trained black belt, and a Top 10 UFC Heavyweight in the world at one point. I’m not out of shape. I’m a f—king beast when it comes down to it. I know, I tell jokes. I do crazy sh—t. I made some mistakes. ‘Oh, he got knocked out by [Antonio Rodrigo] Nogueira, he’s into trucks now. I get all that, but at the end of the day, the way this works is, I’m not a civilian like the rest of his goons around him. I’m not this fake gangster. I don’t go looking for fights. I know I’m tough. I don’t have to get on Twitter and blast it out and prove it every day because I’m insecure. Because whatever sh—t he has going on with his childhood trauma, I don’t have to do that.

“At the end of the day, I will twist your f—king neck off — ask your boys,” Schaub continued. “The difference between you and I, if you start crying because your brother — who has CTE — if your actual f—king brother came out and started getting emotional … I would support you — that’s what I do. That’s what men do. I wouldn’t bash you.

“You’re no different than Colby [Covington] when it comes to this MAGA s—t,” Schaub added. “It’s all fake, but you’re not fooling anybody. I’ve seen how the sausage is made. You’re not tough to me. I know tough guys. Tough guys don’t get on the internet and tweet at another grown f—king man who can beat the s—t out of them.”

Believe it or not, Schaub was just starting to cook …

“I’m not some moron who buys into your tough guy narrative — I don’t give a f—k,” Schaub revealed. You’re from Sacramento — that’s your biggest thing. That’s it. That’s the narrative. I know tough guys from Sacramento. What are you going to do? Nate, what are you going to do? Volume-punch me? Out grapple me? What world are you living in? This is the real world.

Diaz is actually from Stockton, Calif., not Sacramento. But, don’t let that small detail stop you from hearing the rest of Schaub’s screed.

“I’m not hard to get a hold of,” Schaub continued. “Pull the f—k up. And you can show up with all your boys. You can do all that stuff. But, what a real man would do is pull up one-on-one. I don’t have a posse — I don’t need one, bud. I’ll drop my kid off that f—king practice, roll over, twist your f—king neck off, and then pick him up just in time unscathed with a Diet Coke. And that’s how this goes for the rest of your f—king life, bud, whenever I want…. I don’t have insecurities.

“I hope you go on to make more money than God, dude,” Schaub added. “But, what you’re not going to do is pretend you’re a tough guy. I know tough guys — you’re not one of them, Nate. You have your fan base tricked and think you’re this badass. You’re not. You’re no different than anybody else. You’re a terrible f—king athlete … If this pisses you off — or you and I cross paths wherever it’s at — you solo, one on one, you’re not going to do s—t. That’s the reality.

“Don’t do that p—sy Stockton stuff where you jump guys — and if you do decide to jump me — it better be more than f—king four to five guys,” Schaub finally concluded. “You’re a f—king praying mantis barking at a tiger walking through the f—king jungle. Don’t make me stop and twist your f—king neck off because I just want to keep going.”

In 2017, Diaz confronted Schaub about his thoughts on Conor McGregor’s performance and called him names. For the most part, the two have stayed out of each other’s lives, but it seems like this random feud is just getting started (hopefully not).
