UFC started to build its pay-per-view card in Brazil in October.
The promotion, which started to sell tickets after announcing featherweight title fight Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes as the main event and light heavyweights Glover Teixeira and Phil Davis as co-headliners, announced Tuesday a flyweight bout featuring Wilson Reis and Scott Jorgensen.
UFC 179 takes place at the Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Oct. 25.
Reis (18-5) recently made a successful debut in the 125-pound division with a back-and-fourth split decision victory over Joby Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 49 in August. The former EliteXC bantamweight went 1-1 under the UFC banner competing in that weight class.
Jorgensen (15-9), who snapped a three-fight losing streak with a unanimous decision win over Danny Martinez at UFC Fight Night 42 in June, was scheduled to face off against Olympic wrestler Henry Cejudo at last Saturday’s UFC 177 in Sacramento, but the bout was scrapped after Cejudo failed to make it to the scale for the weigh-ins.
