Bellator 232: “MacDonald vs. Lima 2” takes place this weekend (Sat., Oct. 26, 2019) at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., streaming exclusively online via DAZN. The main event is a rematch two years in the making as Douglas Lima (31-7) faces Rory MacDonald (21-5-1) in the finals of the Welterweight Grand Prix, with MacDonald’s Welterweight title also on the line.
Earlier in the night “Semtex” Paul Daley (41-17-2) was scheduled to face Sabah Homasi (13-8) in only his second Bellator fight, having won his promotional debut in 17 seconds via knockout. Unfortunately, MMA Fighting reports that Homasi withdrew from the fight at the last minute with an injury.
Fear not! “The Assassin” Saad Awad (23-12) has agreed to step up to take Homasi’s place. Although he’s currently on a three-fight losing streak, Awad is a long-time Bellator MMA veteran with rock-solid power in his left hand, having scored 10 victories via knockout.
