A lightweight and a catchweight bout of 160-pounds have been added to the UFC’s event on June 20th.
The UFC has continued to bolster their event on June 20th, as Clay Guida will meet Bobby Green on the card Jim Miller takes on rising prospect Roosevelt Roberts.
MMA Junkie announced the matchups. The UFC event on June 20th takes place at the promotion’s Apex facility in las Vegas, the card will be headlined by a heavyweight fight between Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov.
It’s a milestone return to the octagon for Guida (35-19) in 2020, as it will mean “The Carpenter” has fought every year in the promotion since 2006. Guida met fellow veteran Miller in his last fight, losing by submission.
After retiring from the sport in 2018, Green (24-10-1) returned to the sport last November when he lost a decision to Francisco Trinaldo. Guida and Green were originally booked to fight at UFC 225 in June 2018.
The 36-year-old veteran Miller (31-14, 1NC) will surpass Donald Cerrone on June 20th for the most UFC bouts in history at 33. Miller’s fight with Roberts will take place at catchweight bout of 160-pounds.
Roberts (10-1) picked up the tenth win of his professional career less than two weeks ago, defeating Brok Weaver by submission at UFC Vegas. Since being signed to the UFC after impressing on the Contender Series, Roberts has won four of his five fights.
