A bantamweight clash between Sergio Pettis and Matt Hobar has been scheduled for Dec. 6 at UFC 181. The Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported the bout.
Pettis (11-1), the 21-year-old younger brother of UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, looks to capture the third UFC win of his young career. Previously Pettis earned decisions over both Will Campuzano and Yaotzin Meza, but fell victim between them to a third-round rear-naked choke at the hands of Alex Cacares in UFC on FOX 10’s ‘Fight of the Night.’
Nicknamed “The Crowbar,” Hobar (9-2) has split his first two UFC contests, losing to Pedro Munhoz via first-round TKO but rebounding to take a decision over Aaron Phillips in August.
