Walt Harris may have been cut from the UFC following back-to-back losses in the organization, but he’ll make his return to the world’s leading MMA promotion on November 8th when he faces Soa Palelei at UFC Fight Night 55. The UFC made the news official on Monday.

Harris, 31, lost his only two UFC bouts before being cut in January of this year. Harris dropped his UFC debut to Jared Rosholt in November of 2013 via unanimous decision and was stopped in less than minute by Nikita Krylov at UFC on FOX 10 in January. He rebounded on the regional scene after being released, stopping D.J. Linderman at Titan Fighting Championship 28 in the first round in May. Harris is filling in for the injured Daniel Omielanczuk.

Palelei, 37, is 3-1 inside the Octagon. He holds wins over Nikita Krylov, Pat Barry and Ruan Potts, but dropped his most recent Octagon appearance, losing by unanimous decision to Jared Rosholt in June at UFC Fight Night 43.

UFC Fight Night 55 airs on Fight Pass and takes place at the Allphones Arena in Sydney Australia. The event is headlined by a middleweight clash between Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold.
