I was going to ask “What the (expletive) happened to Mike Perry?” but the answer transcends the injuries we see in the embedded video above. An answer I’m not sure anyone in our audience (or even Perry himself) is prepared to deliver.
“Platinum” is looking more like crimson after his unexplained injuries, which are not expected to keep him from fighting Mickey Gall in the UFC on ESPN 12 co-main event next weekend (Sat., June 27, 2020) inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
True, we only have his word to go by, and I’m sure the commission will have a few questions for the welterweight slugger during his fight week medical exam, but (fingers crossed) it doesn’t appear to be anything other than topical wounds.
Anyone else think of the Geto Boys after watching this video?
The more I swung, the more blood flew,
Then he disappeared and my boys disappeared too.
Then I felt just like a fiend,
It wasn’t even close to Halloween.
It was dark as fuck on the streets,
My hands were all bloody, from punching on the concrete.
God damn homey … my mind is playing tricks on me.
