Bareknuckle fighters have no skills.
They’re just a bunch of idiot street brawlers who don’t possess the chops required to throw down in a real sport like boxing. That’s according to celebrity pugilist Jake Paul, who plans to flatline the face of BKFC, Mike Perry, when they go to war atop the “Fear No Man” pay-per-view (PPV) event this Sat. night (July 20) in Tampa.
A highlight-reel loss for “Platinum” could put a serious dent in the credibility of BKFC and ultimately, hurt the investment of UFC megastar Conor McGregor. “Notorious” now owns a piece of the up-and-coming bareknuckle league after making a sizable financial investment back in May.
“You’re gonna see what I’m gonna do to their best fighter on Saturday night,” Paul said at the “Fear No Man” press conference (watch it here). “I’m gonna embarrass their whole entire league. This guy has no skill. Those are just brawler, idiot, street fighter dudes, who have no idea what the sweet science is. Conor McGregor can say what he wants, but he won’t fight me either. Once I knock out Mike Perry, Conor McGregor, let’s run it, but you won’t do it because you know what’s gonna happen. You saw what I did to Nate Diaz, who you went toe-to-toe with. So Conor McGregor, lay off the cocaine, get in the gym and start winning fights. Then maybe we can have a conversation.”
Paul has been after a potential McGregor fight for the last four years.
“Make a new name for yourself (in BKFC),” McGregor told the combat sports community during today’s BKFC press conference in Spain (watch it here). “Look at what has happened to Michael Perry, one of our big stars here, the ‘King of Violence’ he titles himself. He’s had such a rise in the sport. Now he’s up against a little dweeb of a thing in a fight this weekend. We’re all rooting for him.”
