Glover Teixeira and Anthony Smith were heard having a short conversation during the UFC Jacksonville headliner fight.
One of the key differences of holding an event without an audience is that every sound during the fight can be heard. Fighters can even heed the advice of commentators who give their expertly take during the broadcast.
The absence of crowd noise also makes in-fight conversations more audible. One of those transpired during the main event fight between Glover Teixeira and Anthony Smith on Wednesday night in Jacksonville.
Both fighters are known to be respectful competitors. So much so that Teixeira was heard apologizing to Smith as he was beating on him from up top.
All of it was captured on video.

Teixeira: Sorry, Anthony, it’s part of the job.
Smith: What?
Teixeira: Sorry, part of the job.
Smith: Yeah. It is what it is.
The 40-year-old Teixeira ended up winning via fifth-round TKO, as he compiles a four-fight win streak. He also won a $50,000 bonus for Performance of the Night.
