Another two episodes of the “Experience” have bit the dust within the last week, including the one with coffee magnate Dave Asprey.
Is Joe Rogan being censored?
In the six months the UFC color commentator has been podcasting for Spotify, he’s already said goodbye to 42 past episodes, featuring guests like Chris D’Elia, Owen Benjamin, Joey Diaz, Gavin McInnes, and even Eddie Bravo.
That’s according to Digital Music News.
“There were a few episodes they didn’t want on their platform, and I was like ‘okay, I don’t care,’ Rogan said on a recent episode. “But other than that, in terms of what I do in the future, the big test was having Alex Jones on. A lot of people are like, ‘they’re telling Joe Rogan what he can and can’t do.’ They’re not, they’re not.”
One of the appeals of Rogan’s podcast has been the diversity of his guests, though not everyone was thrilled with the former Fear Factor host for giving controversial figures like Milo Yiannopoulos and the aforementioned Jones a place to run their mouths.
Not that Rogan needs guests to cause outrage.
Select Spotify employees have complained about the “transphobic” content from Rogan, who also drew the ire of transgender fighter Fallon Fox in recent weeks. Not surprisingly, Rogan has downplayed the blowback, simply claiming his critics were “wrong.”
Something tells me we haven’t heard the last of this story.
