I know in hindsight it seems like we missed a bunch of cues where it pertains to the way the career of TJ Dillashaw unfolded over the last few years, but there is so much trash talk in this sport, it’s damn near impossible to discern what’s real and what’s manufactured.
Like this “special” accusation.
One thing we can say for certain is that former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Conor McGregor, tried to warn Urijah Faber that Dillashaw would cause a massive rift at Team Alpha Male (TAM) when filming The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), and I guess his “snake” comment was meant to be all encompassing, based on his recent tweet.
I called that little snake way back.

Just another day at the office for “Mystic Mac.”
Dillashaw did, in fact, cause a major shake up at TAM when he defected to Colorado. Later described as “cancer” to the rest of the team, the former bantamweight champion managed to get the last laugh with a pair of finishes over Cody Garbrandt.
Then came his run-in with United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) earlier this week, leading to a $10,000 fine, a one-year suspension, and the loss of this 135-pound title. No word yet on what he popped for, but I wouldn’t be surprised if McGregor called that one, too.
This piece of information has suddenly become very, very interesting.
