Jeremy Stephens is still trying to get himself a fight against Conor McGregor.

We all remember this little moment from the UFC 205 pre-fight presser in 2016. It’s a brief exchange that birthed one of the most iconic and often-used one-liners in MMA history.

Six years later, Jeremy Stephens is still chasing that fight with Conor McGregor. In a recent social media post, “Lil Heathen” made his case for a potential fight against “The Notorious” one.

The ankle reference is likely connected to his fight against Mateusz Gamrot on Saturday at UFC Vegas 31 when the Polish rising star went for his left foot during the opening minutes. Stephens ended up losing the bout via kimura in less than four minutes of action and now deals with a three-fight skid. He hasn’t won a fight since 2018.

As for McGregor, the Irish superstar is expected to sit out the rest of 2021 after suffering a broken tibia at UFC 264 two weekends ago.
