When one rivalry ends, another one begins. Cody Garbrandt is quickly learning that, as “No Love” recently engaged in a war of words with Aljamain Sterling on social media after “Funkmaster” slammed the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight champion for being phony.
Not one to take insults lightly, Garbrandt fired back at his fellow 135-pounder.
Coming from the guy that wears a fake ass gold chain. We will talk after my next fight, hope you are still with the same energy then! https://t.co/XGBJo0NmWl

“I’m sure Garbrandt is a great guy to some and what he’s done for that kid was dope,” wrote Sterling on Twitter. “But I’ve had my interactions and he’s a phony prick. Typical HS jock that peacocks around. We get it. You’re cool, you’re good, and you pluck your eyebrows.”
In response, “No Love” slammed “Funkmaster” and his taste in fake jewelry.
“Coming from the guy that wears a fake ass gold chain. We will talk after my next fight, hope you are still with the same energy then,” replied Cody.
Sterling got a big win over Jimmie Rivera last Sunday night (Feb. 17, 2019) at UFC on ESPN 1, defeating “El Terror” via unanimous decision. As for Cody, he looks to to get back on track after suffering back-to-back losses to TJ Dillashaw when he faces Pedro Munhoz at UFC 235.
With a win, Cody seems keen on settling his beef with Sterling soon thereafter. You interested?
