“As fighters, we trust you guys w/our life/career. And you push us to side to only focus on guys already at the top.”
Earlier this week, former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington called out the UFC for ‘bully tactics’ and ‘slave labor negotiations’, and MMA manager Malki Kawa expressed sympathy for ‘Chaos’ while accusing his ‘sorry ass agency’ (American Top Team’s Dan Lambert) of poor management.
I feel sorry for Colby Covington. If it wasn’t for his sorry ass agency, he’d be fighting for a belt and making big money. He left the guy responsible for his career to guys who sold him ocean front property in Wyoming

Shortly after Kawa made his feelings known on Twitter, former client Aljamain Sterling slammed the First Round Management CEO for the same malpractice he accused Covington’s team of.
Sterling, a top-three UFC bantamweight contender, accused Kawa of making false promises and pushing lesser known fighters to the side to focus on the big names such as Jon Jones and Yoel Romero.
The “sorry ass” pot should never call the “sorry ass” kettle black. I live in Long Island, NY and you promised me an oceanfront in West Bubba-fuck, Idaho. As fighters, we trust you guys w/our life/career. And you push us to side to only focus on guys already at the top. #NotCool https://t.co/hoNfiQahW7

This isn’t the first time Kawa has come under fire, as former UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione fired the renowned MMA manager live on air in 2010.
“Malki, you’re fired,” Mitrione said in his UFC 119 post-fight interview.
Sterling, 30, is riding a four-fight win streak and ranked #2 in the UFC’s official bantamweight rankings.
