A huge Featherweight fight is brewing.
On Friday (May. 25, 2024), former UFC Bantamweight champion turned Featherweight contender Aljamain Sterling took to Twitter to accept Movsar Evloev’s call-out.
It all started with Evolev posting a video of Sterling waking up in the middle of the night, looking at his phone, and saying via A.I. technology, “Oh my God, Movsar is looking for me. It’s time to escape. F—k I didn’t think it would be this scary.”
A day later, Sterling responded with a poster of Evolev saying he is UFC’s most boring fighter, with a caption, “Don’t worry. Sign the contract when it comes in so I can get my title shot.”

After Sterling’s big win in his Featherweight debut at UFC 300, he mentioned that a fight between him and Evolev would be fun. However, the former Bantamweight kingpin was much more interested in a fight with former two-time title challenger Brian Ortega.
It seems like UFC has other plans for Ortega, who is coming off a massive win over Yair Rodriguez. So, unfortunately, Sterling will not get his wish.
Evolev (18-0) is 8-0 in the UFC and currently ranked three spots above Sterling at No. 5 in the Featherweight Top 15.
