The last Strikeforce Challengers event to be held outside of Las Vegas goes down tonight at the ShoWare Center in Kent. Washington.
Strikeforce Challengers 16: Fodor vs. Terry is already underway with a three fight preliminary card, while the Showtime broadcast kicks off at 11PM EST with a five fight main card.
Headlining tonight’s event is a lightweight bout between prospects Caros Fodor and James Terry with each man looking to extend their winning streak to four. The co-main event has lightweight Ryan Couture, son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, in his third pro-fight taking on 4-0 Matt Ricehouse.
The event also holds some historical significance as Zuffa holds it’s first women’s mixed martial arts bout between Germaine de Randamie and Julia Budd. Despite the women’s short mma records, Budd 1-1 and De Randamie 2-1, both women are no strangers to combat sports having fought professionally as kick boxers.
