Strikeforce 40 is expected to take place on May 19, 2012 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California and will feature the Heavyweight Grand Prix Final between Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier. The main card will air on SHOWTIME at 10pm EST/PST (delayed on the West Coast) with the preliminary card airing on SHOWTIME Extreme at 8pm EST/PST.

Zwicker is 1-1 so far in a Strikeforce cage, having earned his first win one year ago at the Diaz vs. Daley event where he stopped opponent Brett Albee via first round TKO. ‘Rezdog’ lost his debut suffering a first round knockout to Lavar Johnson in October 2010 at a Strikeforce Challengers 11 show. Zwicker does own a notable victory over Bellator champ Ovince S. Preux in 2009 at a Top Combat Championship show.

“Guto’ Inocente hails from Brazil and is so far undefeated in his pro-career. He has stopped all five of his opponents with two (T)KO finishes and three submission wins. According to his record he has not been in action since September 2010 where he appeared at a Shooto – Brazil show.
