The medical suspensions for this past weekends Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine were released today by the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission.
Unlike other commissions, the promotion handed out just five medical suspensions to the twenty-two competitors involved in the Showtime event.
Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine took place on January 12, 2013 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with the main card airing on Showtime and portion of the prelim card on Showtime Extreme.
Indefinite suspensions were handed down to fighters Ed Herman and Kurt Holobaugh. These suspensions can be lifted after clearance from a physician.

– Dion Staring: Suspended 30 days for precautionary reasons after suffering a TKO loss
– Ed Herman: Suspended indefinitely until cleared by a physician for injuries to the shoulder, elbow and hand
– Kurt Holobaugh: Suspended indefinitely until cleared by a physician for a hand injury
– Anthony Smith: Suspended 30 days due to facial cuts over the left eye
– Michael Bravo: Suspended 30 days for precautionary reasons after suffering a TKO loss
