PORTLAND, Ore. – MMAjunkie.com was on scene for today’s official “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy” weigh-ins, where all 18 competitors successfully made weight – eventually – for Saturday’s event.
Middleweight champ Luke Rockhold originally missed weight by a half-pound, but he quickly returned and made 185 pounds for his title defense against Tim Kennedy, who was 184.5 pounds.
Lorenz Larkin also came in a half-pound over the middleweight non-title fight limit of 186 pounds, but he, too, made weight on a subsequent attempt. His opponent, Robbie Lawler, was on target at 186 on his first try.
