ST. LOUIS – Despite actively seeking to withdraw from his contract in
the days leading up to the event, lightweight Lyle Beerbohm edged Vitor
“Shaolin” Ribeiro – albeit in perhaps controversial fashion – via split
decision.

The bout was the most-anticipated matchup on the “Strikeforce St. Louis:
Heavy Artillery” preliminary card, which took place Saturday night at
the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

The action preceded the evening’s Showtime-televised main card.
