Strikeforce’s Matt Lindland ready to rebuild career with win over Kevin Casey
Longtime veteran Matt Lindland subscribes to the
theory that speed goes first in the battle with age. Thankfully, he’s
got 20-plus years of technique to fall back on.
“I feel as strong,” Lindland told MMAjunkie.com Radio. “I don’t know if
I’m as fast, but I’m certainly as strong and smarter. I’ve never really
been the fastest guy out of the gates anyway, so I never really had to
rely on that.”
The once top-ranked middleweight admits his technique was off in his two
most recent performances, both first-round stoppages. But as any
fighter who’s been around will tell you, it’s how you move on from the
losses that determines your path in the sport.
