Surging Bellator welterweight prospect Michael Page is looking to put on a show against Jeremie Holloway at Bellator 153.
Michael ‘Venom’ Page, or MVP, has faced little trouble in the cage since making his MMA debut in 2012. The 28-year-old, who is a lifelong martial arts practitioner, has dazzled fans with his flashy strikes and is quickly becoming one of Bellator’s fan-favourites.
The multiple kickboxing world champion has scored tornado kick KO’s and even dance moves before rendering his opponents unconcious, rightfully earning a reputation as one of the flashiest fighters in the business.
Belltor has been criticized for booking Page with outmatched opponents, but the London Shootfighter ignores the negativity and looks forward to putting on another exciting show at Bellator 153. MVP will square off with Jeremie ‘Hit Em’ Holloway, who is 7-1 as a pro and lost his last fight to Matt Secor at Bellator 144.
“I go out there to put on a show,” Page told MMA Junkie in a recent interview. “I’m just excited to fight. Jeremie Holloway, I haven’t done too much research at the moment. Like I said, I’m just excited to fight, and when I’m excited, it just makes me want to put on even more of a show. And when I put on more of a show, it tends to be bad for my opponents, so that’s what I need to kind of worry about.”
In his last outing, Page brutalised Charlie Ontiveros with a series of elbows in the 1st round. The kickboxing dynamo has finished all but one of his fights in the 1st round, and will look to propel into the upper echelon tiers of the 170-pound division on April 22nd.
