The Connecticut native, who’s widely known to be a die-hard New England Patriots fan, can’t help but praise Panthers Pro Bowl quarterback Cam Newton for his childlike appreciation for the game of football, which just so happens to come after his Patriots were defeated 20-18 by the Broncos in the AFC Championship game two weeks ago.

A bit curious right?

“I think that it’s going to be a blowout. I think Cam Newton and his team are going to blow this one out,” White told Myarklamiss.com.

Whether he’s truly a fan of how the former Auburn Tiger plays is a mystery, but we do know that he’s able to admit defeat. It was just two years ago that the Seattle Seahawks trounced the Denver Broncos 43-8 in a game watched by more than 100 million viewers globally.

He’s also known to be a poor sport at times.

UFC holds an annual Super Bowl weekend event each year, but the promotion’s 2016 version will likely not be nearly as successful as previous events because a planned Heavyweight title rematch between champion Fabricio Werdum and ex-titleholder Cain Velasquez fell through at the last minute.

UFC Fight Night 82, which was originally slated to feature the aforementioned title headliner as part of a UFC 196 pay-per-view (PPV), now features a pivotal Welterweight title clash in the FOX Sports 1 main event between former 170-pound ruler Johny Hendricks and kickboxing import Stephen Thompson.
